Beyond passing an SSW (ii) test, fields may require several years of work, team-leader or supervisory experience, and documented evidence.
Finishing five years under SSW (i) does not automatically grant SSW (ii). You must meet the requirements and receive permission to change status.
SSW (ii) can be renewed without a total stay limit and can allow a qualifying spouse and children to accompany you.
Nursing care has a separate route: after becoming a certified care worker, a person may move to the residence status of Nursing Care rather than SSW (ii).
